Bloom Edition 01 - Handmade Stainless Steel Sculpture by Naqsh Editions, Dubai

Bloom Edition 01

bloom

Edition 01

A study of what remains after pressure has passed through.

Bloom being handcrafted and assembled

Material & Process

01

Handcrafted

Bloom is formed and assembled by hand, piece by piece, so the final sculpture carries both the precision of metalwork and the presence of the maker.

Hand-hammered finish

Material & Process

02

Hand-hammered

The visible texture of each petal carries the mark of hand-hammering, a direct record of pressure applied, time taken, and the maker's intention held within the steel.

Tumbled finish

Material & Process

03

Tumbled

A tumbling process softens the surface, rounding edges, quieting the metal, and creating a finish that feels touched and worn in a way that is gentle rather than rough.

Polished finish

Material & Process

04

Polished

A mirror polish creates a sharper relationship with reflection and light. The same form, the same material, now holding an entirely different relationship to the space it occupies.

Hands holding Bloom sculpture

The Story

Bloom is the beginning of Naqsh.

A handmade sculptural piece for the feeling we carry but rarely name.

Edition 01

Siddhesh, artist and founder of Naqsh Editions

The Artist

Siddhesh

Siddhesh's relationship with metal began early through his family's fabrication workshop in Dubai, where the process of making was part of everyday life long before it became an artistic medium.

“We wanted the material to hold a memory of what it was subjected to.”

A Naqsh sculpture from the archive

The Founders

Four
perspectives,
one archive.

Artist & Founder

Siddhesh

The artist behind Naqsh. His relationship with metal began early through his family's fabrication workshop in Dubai. Over time that environment shaped the way he approached material, not only as something functional, but as something capable of holding emotion, memory and permanence. Bloom is the first expression of that.

Business & Strategy

Nupur

Nupur brings a background in asset management and is instrumental in shaping the business foundation of Naqsh, from client relationships to the strategic structure supporting its growth. She ensures the studio can operate with intention and longevity.

Creative Narrative & Identity

Sindhu

An architect and artist whose influence shaped much of the creative narrative around Naqsh. Her artistic language extends into the brand itself through original works developed as part of its visual identity. Together with Siddanth she built the world around Naqsh beyond the sculptures themselves.

Visual Direction

Siddanth

Working in photography and visual storytelling for nearly a decade, Siddanth leads the visual direction of Naqsh, shaping the imagery, presentation and overall visual language of the brand. Together with Sindhu he constructed the world around Naqsh that extends beyond the work itself.

What's Next

Bloom is the first edition in the Naqsh archive, but the intention was never for it to exist as a standalone piece. Future editions will continue with a strong focus on material and process, some intimate and tactile, others evolving into larger singular works.
